Nisaba Mala - Worldly Knowledge - Picture Jasper, Elephant Beads and "Tassel," Tibetan Guru

I’m pleased to present Nisaba!  This Mala was named after the Sumerian Goddess of Wisdom, Nisaba.  She is the goddess of writing, communication, and she invented literacy so she would communicate matters to humankind.  As you meditate with or wear this Mala imagine yourself traveling the world, gaining experience and knowledge to grow and help others. 

Nisaba is made of Picture Jasper, mostly polished with a few matte beads subtly mixed in.  Picture Jasper is a landscape crystal that is said to help its user look for their place in the world.  The Guru bead is a beautiful Tibetan bead with silver and mirrored accents.  The “tassel” and accent beads are elephants symbolizing life-long wisdom that comes from walking great distances and experiencing the world first-hand.  The “tassel” was tied on with 7 knots, representing the 7 continents.
